Discover the Magic of Reading with BookFlix

Looking for a fun and engaging way to help young readers build literacy skills and develop a love of learning? BookFlix provides a unique digital reading experience for children in Kindergarten to Grade 3, by pairing animated storybooks with related nonfiction eBooks to help readers connect stories to real-world knowledge. Whether your child is just beginning their reading journey or already eager to explore new topics, there is always something new to discover.

Three Hidden Gems of BookFlix:

1. Stories Brought to Life by Famous Narraters
Reading is even more engaging when stories are told by talented performers. Many animated storybooks in BookFlix feature narration from acclaimed actors including James Earl Jones, Meryl Streep, John Lithgow, and many others. Hearing skilled narration transforms storytime into an immersive experience and supports reading development.
2. Meet the Authors and Creators behind the books
Every great story starts with an author. BookFlix helps children discover the people who create the books they love, with the inclusion of author and creator biographies to learn about the inspiration, experiences and creative journeys behind the stories. Young readers may even be inspired to write stories of their own after learning about the authors who brought their favourite characters to life.
3. Turn Reading into Play with “Puzzlers!”
BookFlix includes built-in comprehension activities that allow children to test what they’ve learned in a fun, interactive way. “Puzzlers” reinforce important literacy skills such as vocabulary, sequencing, and reading comprehension, while keeping children engaged and motivated.

BookFlix offers much more than a typical digital reading platform. Now is the perfect time to explore everything BookFlix has to offer. See the tutorial to learn more.
