Service Charges

For your convenience, fees on your account can be paid online.  Online payments can only be made with major credit cards (Visa or  Master Card).  See MPL’s guide to Making An Online Payment [PDF] to get started. Please note there is a $5 minimum for online payments.

You may also make your payments at your local branch by cash, Interac (debit), or credit card.

You will need to pay service charges in these situations:

  • You lose your library card
  • Your cheque is returned NSF (non-sufficient funds)
  • You lose or damage library items

Your account will be suspended and you will not be able to borrow items if:

  • You owe more than $20 in service charges
  • You have 10 or more items marked “claimed returned”
