Lendery

A Lendery is a library of things - instead of books you can borrow items like sports equipment, hand tools and kitchen appliances.  The Lendery lets you borrow things that you might need occasionally or that you want to try but don't need to own.  Borrow a coffee urn for an event.  Try a pasta maker.  Borrow a hammer drill to drill into cement or brick.

The Lendery is located at the Milliken Mills Library. To borrow from the Lendery you need to:

  • be 18 years or over
  • have a valid MPL card
  • complete the Special Collections Agreement with staff
  • agree to the Lendery Waiver form at the time of checkout

Lendery items are available on a first-come-first-serve basis (no holds) and can be borrowed for 14 days.

The Lendery was initiated in partnership with York Region and York Region Makers, and is now owned and operated by the library.
