Milliken Mills Library Reopening this Fall

The wait is almost over! We are excited to let you know that the Milliken Mills Library is expected to reopen this Fall. We have been working hard to revitalize both the library and the community centre so that you can enjoy a more modernized and beautiful space.

The Milliken Mills Library redesign optimizes workflow and efficiency, bringing it up to system standards, enhancing branch aesthetics and improving the overall customer experience.

Enhancements Include:

    • Redesigned sorter room featuring a new, state-of-the-art automated sortation system; this feature will greatly improve efficiency, providing a quicker return-to-shelf time and getting library material into the hands of customers faster.
    • Redesigned accessible entry featuring new washrooms (3 universal and 1 accessible washroom), greatly improving the overall aesthetics and accessibility of the branch.
    • Self-Service Material Return Unit for added customer convenience; customers will automatically be issued a receipt for their returned items which means no more waiting in line at the desk!
    • Manual drop box for easy 24/7 returns.
