MPL’s popular Bookmark Contest is back—and we can’t wait to see your creativity shine! This is your chance to design a bookmark that will be printed, shared, and enjoyed by readers all across our branches.

How to Enter:
- Participants must be between the ages 6 – 18 (in Gr. 1 - 12) and have a MPL library card.
- The design must stay within the dedicated space space on this entry form.
- Submitting your hand-drawn design:
- Drop off your design on the entry form at a MPL branch
- Scan & upload your design on the entry form online.
- Submitting your digital design:
- Fill out the entry form online at markhampubliclibrary.ca/2025bookmarkcontest
- Upload your design with your name as the file name.
- Ensure your file format is - PDF (preferred) or JPEG with a CMYK colour profile at 300 PPI.
Contest Rules & Conditions
- Your design must be completely original. Entries that include licensed characters, AI-generated images, or artwork made with templates/stock illustrations (e.g., Canva) will not be accepted. One entry in one category per person.
- Students who are 5 but currently in Grade 1 may enter the contest.
- Students who are 18 and still in high school are eligible. University and college students are not eligible.
- Any entries with inappropriate content will not be considered.
- By entering the contest, you agree that MPL may use your design—including printing, sharing, and displaying it at all library branches.

- All winning bookmarks will be distributed across MPL branches
Deadline to Submit:
All submissions must be received by 11 PM on October 31, 2025. Don’t forget to include the Contest Entry Form when you submit your design!
