MPL’s Toy Library, opens a new window has always been a popular collection since it was launched at Aaniin, opens a new window and Milliken Mills, opens a new window a few years ago. We know that Markham families really enjoy this special collection. We are excited to be expanding this collection to Cornell Library, opens a new window!
Our goal is to help support children’s early literacy development by providing them greater access to educational toy that will help their readiness for school. Toys in the collection are geared towards children 0 to 5 years to support early literacy development in the following areas:
- Building
- STEM
- Science & Math
- Language Development
- Reading & Literacy
- Dramatic Play
- Sensory Play
- Fine Motor Skills
- Puzzles
- Special Needs
- Movement & Balance
How to Borrow:
You may borrow up to 3 toys for a 2 week period and cannot be renewed. Toys need to be returned to the branch where they were borrowed.
Opening Celebration:
Join us for an opening event on Feb. 18 to celebrate the launch of the Toy Library at Cornell. Register Online, opens a new window

February 18th from 1-4 PM.

- Toy-themed storytime at 1 PM
- Play n' Browse Scavenger Hunt
- STEAM Activity 2-4 PM
