Starting on February 1, 2023, The Economist will no longer be available in the OverDrive Magazine collection. The last issue available for you to borrow will be January 28, 2023. All back issues will also be removed from collections on February 1.
Why is OverDrive Removing The Economist?
In December 2022, there was a required digital lending model change for The Economist that OverDrive could not support. Therefore, a decision was made to remove it from the OverDrive Magazine collection.
What are the Alternatives?
OverDrive is adding new magazines to the collection regularly, including Fortune which is coming soon. They will continue to find ways to increase the value of your always available OverDrive Magazine collection.
