We miss going to the library and seeing your friendly faces. Unfortunately, we are in the midst of a time where we have to stay home and socially distance ourselves for the safety of everyone. But do not worry, for Markham Public Library is excited to offer a series of free virtual programs that everyone can enjoy!!

Join Circle Time 

Parents and caregivers can join their little ones for Circle Time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am via Facebook Live. Encourage your preschoolers and toddlers to mimic the fingerplays and sing along with us from the comfort of your home. Practise your rhymes and engage with our storytelling.

Learn a New Skill

Join Coding Club or Junior Coding Club to learn about coding via ZOOM meets. You can follow instructions and experiment

Participate in S.T.E.A.M. Activities

Tune into Facebook Live to participate in fun STEAM activities. We will post the required materials ahead of time, so you can be prepared.

Access our Resources

Have a to read list that you never had time to go through? Or is staying indoors becoming boring? Well, you can borrow our e-books and audiobooks through Overdrive or Libby. If you just want to stay updated with recent events, access newspapers and magazines through Flipster or PressReader. If you are more interested in watching movies or listening to music, then you can borrow up to 10 movies a month through Hoopla. The resources provided by MPL are endless!

Research and Homework Assistance

MPL is providing additional resources to help your children with schoolwork at home. From MATH Storytime to Crayola Create, you can help your children learn while at home. If teens at home want to be busy, they can access TeenBookCloud to leisurely read, or complete research assignments using online databases.
