These computer programming languages instruct machines to complete specific actions, much like a manual.
Coding is what allows us to access websites, word processors, video conferencing, GPS systems, elevators, washing machines, voice activated software and even traffic lights contain microprocessors that work using code.
When writing code, there a number of different coding languages in use today and each has different benefits and applications they are most commonly used for.
In our digital world, coding is present in most, if not every aspect of our life and everyday activities. Coding has replaced outdated technologies and our use of it will increase into the future.
