Markham Public Library is excited to introduce Storytime Kits, a new collection designed to help children and caregivers read, play, and learn together.
Each Storytime Kit includes a children's book paired with character toys that bring the story to life. Families can read the book together, talk about the characters, act out favourite scenes, and create their own adventures through imaginative play.
Storytime Kits make reading more interactive while helping children develop important early literacy skills, including vocabulary, language development, storytelling, print awareness, and creativity. They also encourage meaningful caregiver-child interactions, helping create positive reading experiences that support a lifelong love of books.
