Canada Learning Code Week

Canada Learning Code Week is a call to action for people in Canada to learn how to code.

So what exactly is CODE?

Coding, sometimes called computer programming, is how we communicate with computers. You can think of it as a type of computer language that is developed through a series of numerical or alphabetical codes. These computer programming languages instruct machines to complete specific actions, much like a manual.

Coding is what allows us to access websites, word processors, video conferencing, GPS systems, elevators, washing machines, voice activated software and even traffic lights contain microprocessors that work using code.

When writing code, there a number of different coding languages in use today and each has different benefits and applications they are most commonly used for.

In our digital world, coding is present in most, if not every aspect of our life and everyday activities. Coding has replaced outdated technologies and our use of it will increase into the future.

You do not have to become a professional coder to learn how to code. Check out out the titles below to start coding!
