Earth Month

Earth Month

The theme for Earth Day 2024 is "Planet vs. Plastics". This theme calls for a reduction in the production of plastics by increasing awareness of the risks of plastics to people and the planet, encouraging a reduction in the use of single use plastics and fast fashion, and investing in technologies that support a plastic-free world.

This April, Markham Public Library has partnered with organizations in our community to offer programs about the impact of our daily actions in creating a more sustainable community. From what we eat to how we shop, commute, or heat our homes, these changes can make large impacts in our community and beyond.

We look forward to seeing you at an Earth Month program!
